Wells Fargo has reached an agreement of $386 million to settle class-action lawsuits brought by customers who say they have been forced to buy unnecessary car insurance to solve one of their many legal problems.

About 5900 retail bank branches and 268000 team members, the program encourages customers, communities and team members to provide nonperishable food in their branches, donate to joint ways, and volunteer with hunger-related organizations. The show starts on Tuesday and continues until the end of the year.
Fifty-five percent of Americans say they think donations during the holidays are more important than the rest of the year.
More than three-quarters of Americans (77%) throw away the nonperishable food they buy - food banks can use it and people can benefit from it.
A third of Americans (33%) said their charitable donations had no convenient delivery location.

Working with United Way
The United Way global plan, which fights for the health, education and financial stability for everyone in each community, uses Wells Fargo's $5 million donations to improve the capacity of local United way, provide long-term, high impact programs, and support hunger-related causes during and after holidays.

Leveraging the Wells Fargo branch network
As part of the holiday food bank of Wells Fargo, the company will collect food in the collection boxes of about 5900 retail bank branches, and will deploy mobile food banks to collect food in 17 cities in the United States from November 28 to December 30. Mobile "pop-up" food banks will collect non-perishable food donations, raise awareness of hunger and provide information on how to help families in need during the holiday.
